1. Direct Learning Experience of Stigma

Traditional approaches for stigma reduction (i.e., exhibitions, workshops) less emphasize on the experiential facet of stigma. And we believe that one of the most effective ways for people to understand stigma is to experience it. We aim to create a connection between players and characters in LARP through first-person narrative. So, players could actively explore their own characters, to investigate how the stigma is formed, or how their characters are affected by the stigma.

2. The First Destigmatising LARP in Hong Kong

Unlike most mental disorders themed LARP stories in the market that tend to include stigmatizing descriptions or often biased information about mental disorders to increase horror and excitement, our game contrastingly emphasizes on destigmatising mental illnesses. In other words, our current project is pioneering in the market of LARP.

3. Hong Kong Stories

As the current LARP industry mostly relies on sources from Taiwan and mainland China, people could hardly find scripts that were relevant to Hong Kong. As such, we aim to develop our OWN stories that are realistically based on the social contexts in Hong Kong, for example, the current issues in the local mental health system will serve as the background for our plot development.
